In Rimini, tap water isn't drinkable. Every week we'd drive to the city centre, fill up bottles and jerrycans, and carry them uphill to our home. After consulting Sensiblue, we installed a carbon filter combined with an S4. Now we fill our bottles straight from the tap — though I still keep a few pretty ones on the table for when guests come over.

In 2016 we bought our first Sensiblue and installed it in our holiday home in Portugal. When we bought a camper in 2019, we installed one there too — and replaced it in 2025 with the new version. It's been a lifesaver: we never had to worry about our water tank. On advice from the friendly Sensiblue team, we now empty it periodically. Two homes, two Sensiblues, almost ten years — wouldn't go without it.

We have a summer cabin in Sweden with a drilled well. After Eurofins tested our water, we sent the report to Sensiblue for advice. We ended up buying three S4 units — one for our own cabin, one for the house we rent to guests, and one for our neighbour. No more trucking in water or buying expensive bottles. We're now providing safe drinking water from our own source to family and guests — completely off-grid.

When we bought our custom-built motorboat in 2008, we already knew Jan Tholen — the inventor of Sensiblue. We installed two first-generation units in our brand-new boat. In 2026 we refitted the boat and replaced both — still working after 18 years — with the new S4 version. Looking forward to many more years of sailing without ever worrying about water quality.
